Hi Kim,
Thank you so much! I'm really flattered that you chose M & D for your book club and pleased you liked it. (And glad to know there's someone out there who thinks like I do.) You know a thing or two about cold and snowy winters living up there on Lake Erie. I'm trying to enjoy fall without dreading what comes next. I keep telling myself it can't be as bad as last year...Take care and thanks again--truly thoughtful of you to let me know.

Hi Rae, Just finished Mothers and Daughters, a book that was MY selection for our book club. So I was on your official webpage checking out questions for our meeting tomorrow night. I love your tips for how to write a novel, and I like how you became interested in the Orphan Trains. My mind seems to work a lot like yours which made for immediate interest on my part reading your blog. Good luck with your next winter in the north; i live in a Fredonia, NY on Lake Erie and our winters are also legendary for their temperatures and snow accumulation. Loved Mothers and Daughters!!!

Thanks, Jen! I hope you and your family are enjoying yourself--there's nothing I love better than a summer in Wisconsin. Thanks for all your kind wishes.

Hi Nicole,
Thank you for reading and commenting--very nice considering how much you have going on! I hope it's a way to move forward. It feel a little old-fashioned or something, but it provides an entry point nonetheless. I'm afraid it's going to be another slog of two pages a day for this one too, but at least that pace feels like something I can do once the kids go to sleep. Hope summer is a productive one for you. xo

What I love about these guidelines is that each one is pivotal, important and, if you can figure them out, you're well on your way. You don't overcomplicate--you just give people (and yourself) a way to move forward. Perfect!

I forgot about dandelions under the chin! Good thing we still have a million of them in the backyard. (I love butter--my chin should light up.) Such a big psychological shift to put away the coats. Cold weather is not allowed to come back for any of us. Thanks, as always, for reading, Jen.

Put away winter coats. Finally. Yes! "Just keep swimming, just keep swimming, swimming, swimming..."

I love your lists Rae!

Sending you a dandelion crown...did you hold one under your chin to see if you liked butter? Or are you allergic?!
